Our Favorite Products to Simplify Your Life with Food Allergies
Favorite Food Allergy Friendly Candy Option: Yum Earth
OmieBox Bento Box
I've featured this product on my Instagram feed with some of my little one's meals. The short story? We love this product. It has allowed us to send allergy safe hot and cold food into school for my child, in one convenient box. The lunchbox comes in tons of cool colors (click the one you like for a link to the product page), has a handle that makes it easy for your little one to carry, and the thermos included keeps my toddler's food warm for lunch. I wish they could eat the lunch their school provides, but at least this product allows them to have a healthy, hot meal at school. And they are super proud of their cool lunch box!

Organization
You can view this ottoman in our home throughout my Instagram account. My LO loves using the lid as a pretend cot, meditation mat, and stage. We love the stylish look and easy toy storage solution!
|
These bins turned an ordinary bookshelf into a fun storage area for my LO's toys. By laminating pictures of different types of toys, we help my toddler learn to sort and independently put their toys away.
|
I've had my Fellowes laminator for many years, and love it. While the model I have is no longer sold, the linked product is quite similar to what I use in my home.

BOOKS
This book was a gift from our local library (thanks to a program that gives board books to babies during their first story time), and my little one still loves it over a year later. The book contains photographs of children across the world, and highlights how similar they are in age appropriate language. A perfect intro to diversity text for your family!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Board Book
By Eric Carle The Very Hungry Caterpillar may be one of my favorite children's books of all time, and it is definitely one of the most versatile for use in curriculum for toddlers and preschoolers.

Stretched Square CanvasI love using these canvases to dress up my LO's art. You can learn more about one of these projects here.

Crayola Toddler CrayonsMy little one loves these crayons! They are extra wide; perfect for little toddler hands just learning how to grasp a writing utensil
Check out some activities we've used crayons for here. |
KIDS FURNITURE
We use this learning tower for family cooking/baking activities, hand washing, sensory play at the counter top, and more. My little one loves it, and is proud of the independence it provides. I feature the learning tower on my Instagram and Facebook regularly. Or, check it out here.

My little one is obsessed with their "big kid" table and chairs. The perfect size for play, crafting, coloring, reading, snacking, and more.
|
This bookshelf has been a lifesaver in our living room. It is stylish enough to fit in with our adult furniture, and offers a convenient space to store my little one's books, toys, games, and more. We've also placed a farmhouse style metal and cloth basket with diaper changing supplies for easy access, and keep some of our own books on the shelves as well.
This piece would be perfect for a bedroom, playroom, or (like in our house) a family room.

HOME
I love my Luna weighted blanket! Luna blankets come in a variety of sizes, weights, and styles, making them perfect for the entire family. While weighted blankets aren't right for everyone (you should always confirm with your medical or psychological professionals prior to getting one), they were recommended for my family. I have a lovely lavender one for myself, and it has become one of my favorite possessions. We also received a recommendation for my child to get one.
If you are looking for a great sleep or sensory aid, definitely consider Luna weighted blankets! They are machine washable, comfortable, and have stellar reviews! |
Product Ideas from Fellow Bloggers and Friends
Helping you be cleaner and more organizedI couldn't believe I'd not heard of these before, but I love the concept. While my family isn't doing drive throughs with our child due to food allergies, I can remember plenty of occasions where nieces and nephews were looking for a way to put their sauce cups down... only to spill sauce everywhere. These clip in to your air vents to help provide a stable holder for your sauces. Simple, but super smart! Check them out here.

In the kitchenI have a number of friends who can't recommend this book enough. While I have a chef in my home to teach me all about principles of good cooking, I know this isn't a luxury everyone is afforded. For those without a personal chef, be sure to check out Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat: Mastering the Elements of Good Cooking by Samin Nosrat.
